Onward On San Fransisco

After this weeks spread option I must admit I feel a little lonely being the sole person to choose the 49ers to win come Sunday night but I stand by my pick and by my explanation why.  That being said there is an added bonus for the 49ers that also is the reason I will be pulling for San Fransisco.

For those of you who know me, as Ty and Zach both do, I am proud John Carroll University Blue Streak, a small, D3, Jesuit school based out of Cleveland Ohio.  And although many people have never heard of JCU, its about time we start earning some R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

These men and my school also got a shout out on ESPN thanks to Adam Schefter in this story from earlier in the playoffs mentioning how no University had as big of a influence in the current playoffs as beloved John Carroll : http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2012/story/_/page/10spot-12week20/2012-nfl-playoffs-how-bill-belichick-made-ray-lewis-raven

If you notice many of these graduated Blue Streaks still hold jobs in the NFL, including current San Fransisco 49er Offensive Coordinator, still work in the NFL now.  That is why I will be rooting for the 49ers come 6:30 today.  I'm all for an alum coming from my small but very credible school helping lead a team, specifically an elusive offense to the promise land and knowing his great mind walked the halls of my proud University.  Tom Arth has accepted the head coaching job back in University Heights here at his Alma Mater, while well known player London Fletcher has never missed a start currently with the Redskins.  Now they aren't the only alums to be proud of though as most of these men served, or currently serve in executive positions with their respected clubs and that is something to take attention of.  JCU must be doing something right as they dedicate year in an year out to building men and woman for others.

With my Blue and Gold pride, I will be screaming my heart out for Greg Roman and the 49ers to take the Lombardy Trophy back to California!  ONWARD ON SAN FRAN!
